I guess I should thank my lucky stars that my
dayima came a little earlier this month, or it'd hit me during the birthday chalet this Friday. Although it meant having to skip my beach picnic with the bf yesterday, at least he and my sister entertained each other with a jigsaw puzzle. Heh.
On MC today..which makes this week a little shorter since I'm gonna be on leave because of the chalet again. At least the cramps are abit better..but the headache isn't. Sighh.
Was looking at fareastflora website, wondering if I should get something for my boss and her newborn baby, when I came across the page on
plush blush. They have really, really adorable gifts! Ohmans..seeing them just makes me feel like sending something to someone. Hahaha. If you happen to need recommendations for flower delivery with a little twist, try this!
http://www.fareastflora.com/promotions/promodetail.aspx?promid=JAN0110W&PG=2Turns out that the bouquet lings had delivered to my office once came from this category too! Cute to the max! Flowers and all things adorable really brighten my day. =)
So many babies around lately..what with little josh (cranky but oh-so-cute), baby ashton and now my boss' baby girl..haha. Machiam all in a hurry to come out before the tiger year. Lol.
Don't understand the older generation's fixation that tiger babies, or rather, tiger baby
girls, are not good. Although I was born just short of the tiger year, I'm surrounded by
plentyyy of tiger babies in my batch, and I don't have an issue with any tiger-born, boy or girl. Heh.
Ohh crap. Still haven't thought of what to get for the sister and the bestie. And the boyfriend. Sighh..am I going broke, or what? Plus the chalet..not so sure after all if it was such a good idea to hold a combined birthday party with a potentially long guestlist. And having a mother who breathes down my neck about the party cost, making scathing sarcastic remarks about the food/drinks I want to buy. I
sooo do
not need such nonsense.
Everyone shall eat grass at the chalet. =x
I think I shall shorten my birthday wishlist to just
one thing:
Angbao!!
If you can't think of what to get me, cash will
very gladly be accepted. Reallyyyy. Haha.
Wonder if there will come a day when the cramps will stop harrassing me every month...

Maybe I should create a birthday wishlist. Haven't thought about it at all, until shan asked me what I want for my birthday. Lol.
Let's see what I can think of now..
- Vouchers are useful actually. Then I can buy whatever I want!
- Cash!! Always accepted with a big smile. =D
- iPhone (the white one). Anybody wanna sponsor? Heh.
- Watch. But I'm picky about the design. Hmm.
And I know what I
don't want to receive. No perfumes, stuffed toys, mugs, stationary (unless it's a stationary shop voucher) and face/body products please! At least I'm being honest upfront, right? =p
Can't really think of smaller, more specific items at the moment..I shall update this list soon! Hahaha.

Here's a really interesting story:
Boy needs money; boy borrows money from girl. With promises to return the amount once he starts working, and to pay back in full by the end of that
very year (about 9 more months till the end of the year).
A few months pass, and boy finds a job. Girl is aware but doesn't ask for repayment (because she stupidly assumes boy will have the sense and feel
paisehh enough to return the money).
More time passes and soon, it's almost the end of the year. Still not a single cent repaid to the girl! And why?
Boy's mum falls sick, and boy says he has stopped working for awhile. So, no money to return.
Girl, while sympathetic, is very annoyed by now. They finally agree on a measly sum to be repaid each month, cos'
bo pian.
New year comes and goes. Still no repayment!
Girl asks boy about repayment. Boy says mum still sick, he hasn't been working, so no money to return. At the very earliest, only in another 3 months then can he start the measly monthly repayment (or so he says. Who's to say what reason will there be in 3 months' time?).
Here's the most interesting twist to the story.
Girl stumbles upon boy's facebook (bet he must be regretting adding her on his fb back then). And sees that boy's facebook
recently states he has been working all along. And company photos too! Wow.
And so, girl leaves a comment to ask if he's gone back to work. Wasn't he taking care of his mum?
Amazingly, in
less than 3 mins, boy sends girl a message via facebook chat. Trying to explain the situation. And
even more amazingly, the comment that the girl posted has been deleted! Talk about efficiency. Altogether now, wowwwww.
Boy says very few people know about his sick mum. And claims he will return to work at the end of the month. Plus, boy will keep girl updated about the loan repayment. Suddenly so much concern over a simple comment hor.
Girl is really puzzled. So how come need 3 months to start repaying loan?
Getting some sense that things are not quite right? Well, girl seems to think so. After all, she ain't stupid. The only stupid thing she's ever done is to loan money to someone who doesn't keep his word.
I hope that the boy in this story has a damn bloody good reason for all the stories spun. Whether true or not, they're still no excuse. Wake up your idea man. Stop taking people and the situation for granted.

Life can be so unpredictable. And that's usually when reality hits you hardest.
Feels like it's been so long, when it all only happened yesterday morning. Not even 48 hours yet. But the events have certainly been resurfacing in my mind..and I keep thinking of hwan jiejie and praying that she will stay strong, and will herself a miracle.
At least they delivered little baby ashton today..I was so, so afraid that we would have to lose the small one to save the big one. Hope my little preemie nephew can be discharged before his first month.
The road ahead is going to be a very long one..and it's only just started. No one ever said it's going to be easy, and it's anybody's guess as to how tough it may get.
Please join us in praying for her recovery, and that a miracle will happen.
And give strength to those who love her, so that they can be her pillars of support.
