Thought I might as well blog an entry before showering. Or everything I wanna blog about will fly out from my frazzled mind. Haha.

Had a damn annoying bus ride from office to the library earlier. The bus driver was in the hugest hurry ever, I swear. Chionging like mad, paying no heed to his poor standing passengers hanging on for dear life..yours truly almost suffered a disjointed shoulder. Baskett.

Anyhows, borrowed travel guides for cambodia and vietnam! Let's hope I'll actually read and absorb the mountain of useful information in there. Took me awhile to sieve through the huge pile of books and pick the ones with the most recent publishing date. What's the use of referring to a version that was published in 2000? Lol.

Also borrowed a book on dogs! Pretty much the all-you-need-to-know-about-dogs kind of book. Let's hope it helps! I so totally cannot wait to move house and get my own puppy! Now..to find a house first...then settle the puppy later.. =x

Haven't bladed in over a week and I'm kinda itching for the unbalanced feel. Hahaha. Not that I'm looking forward to falling but..I want to go blading!!

Amazingly, I'm no longer aching (that much) from the run! Almost fully okay..should be able to resume my normal running and static stations already! Yays. =)

And I found a new source of entertainment which keeps me in fits: the reduced shakespeare company! They're completely hilarious to the max laa..I was laughing my ass off watching the dvd which senior lent me. The troupe's coming to singapore in july! Goodness..why is everything so costly for me this year..first the mayday concert, then liverpool playing in sg in july ALSO (I'm still wondering to go or not; are tickets even available anymore?)..and now RSC!

Decided to give much ado about nothing a miss cos' 1) I don't know who would be interested in going with me; 2) I'm kinda broke this month and for the next few months. >_<

I realllyyyy wanna catch the play though.. =(

On a lighter note, at least there's this one more event I'm able to afford fairly easily, even for this month. Haha. Found out about da vinci: the genius travelling exhibition! Looks like bus-stop billboards can be pretty useful after all. =p

Guess I have nick to thank for piquing my interest in the arts..the interest has always been there; just always kept hidden below surface. None of my close friends actually appear remotely interested in such artsy-fartsy subjects and events so...I suppose that's one huge reason why I never really delved deeper into this area.

Have this urge to tour europe and places like the louvre at paris, basilica in the vatican city and the architectural miracles of italy..the things I've heard about those amazing wonders!

Starting to see just how expensive the arts can be. Really. Concerts and theatres and musicals and whatnot..the tickets freaking don't come cheap! And getting the cheapest tickets are like totally useless cos' you might as well go there and not see anything at all. -_-'''

Like I always say, if you wanna go, buy tickets that actually put you in a seat decent enough to indulge in the performance. But those come at a high price, literally. Ohwells.

Perhaps I should set up a geri's arts fund for my artsy indulgences. Hahaha.

And another geri's runs fund for taking part in all those run events. I seriously wonder where the registration money goes to. If it's charity, fine. If not, then where?? Running has suddenly gone from a free sport to an expensive sport. Dots.

Whoaa spent longer than I expected blogging..pom pom time! It's yet another work day tomorrow..sighh. Just tahan and the weekend will come soon enough..after my working saturday. Bleahh.

And ohh! It's true that you learn something new everyday, really. Geri's new knowledge of the day: my single-themed snapshot essay for anything at all in life.

I like the sound of it. Now I just need to create my own photo essay. =)

Finally completed my first 15km run!

And my knees are hurting like crazy. =x

Like what nick says, really gotta train up my static stations to build more muscles around the joints..or I'm going to suffer for all long distance runs.

Apart from hurting knees and a blister..I'm otherwise fine! As expected, I didn't hit my target of completing it in under 90mins..seeing how I have never trained over 6km on normal days, it's kinda not possible so last minute. Haha. Still, it's a great feeling to complete a longer distance run!

Next up, army half marathon! By then, I'll aim to run continuously for at least 15km. Today, I had difficulty continuing after 10 over km..and I need to find some way to drink water without stopping. Lol.

Crap..whole weekend's burnt with activities yesterday and today, and I completely forgot about the 48pages of CHINESE reading I need to do before tomorrow's early morning meeting!

I'm only on page 13.. >_<

Shucks man..this weekend, not a good time for work at home.

Went for the tj band concert last night..honestly honestly, I was a little disappointed. Was hoping the band could make everyone see that they're deserving of a gold standard but..it was a little lacklustre. I'm guessing the main reason for their slightly off performance is due to the fact that they only started preparing for prelude like 2 weeks ago..that's really kinda mad. Can't be helped though..with syf and all.

Still, stageband was entertaining as usual. Haha. And great to see a few familiar faces! =) Seems like ter set a standard for "gay" roles in stageband with his voiceover rendition during our own prelude back then. =p

Am tiredd but I need to complete my 48 pages...arghhh. When will I ever finish it?! If it's in english, easy-peasy. But it's furrr-reeeee-kiiiiiing chinese! =(

Damn shagged. Wonder if the knees will give way tomorrow..

Can't believe it, but I'm actually itching to run again. As in, normal training. And this time, I wanna try a longer distance..probably 8km at least. Need to slowly train up 21km!

Aching aching aching..why do I go from one week of aches right into another lot of it..sadistically, I must somehow enjoy it, right? Hahaha.

Yet another ache-filled day..*groan*

I feel as though I will never stop hurting. =x

The senior claims responsibility for tekan-ing me too muchh that night, but really, had he not done so, I wonder when will I start training in such a manner. Haha.

Short-term pain, long-term gain. Right?

It'd better be right.

We had sakae teppanyaki for dinner; yummilicious! I'm not a fan of sakae sushi, but their teppanyaki branch is pretty decent! And the chefs are more pro..I always find myself watching the chef whip up dishes in front of me. Haha.

Saw many shops I wanted to walk into, but the senior isn't the shopping type..so I diam diam. Lol. Anyways, I should be saving money and not frivolously spending!

(trying hard to convince myself..)

Went to gai gai at the pasar malam after that! Haven't been to one in a super long time..miss the cheapo items, cutesy stickers, blaring pirated CDs, greasy smell of sausages and ramly burgers and whatnot..and there was this mini funfair with amusement rides which I have never seen elsewhere! Uber missed my ixus, which has been sitting comfortably in my drawer for awhile now. >_<

The rides taken in sepia and b/w would have looked damn poignant and whimsical, especially the ticket counter! Really evoked a sense of antiquity and simplicity..me likes!

Maybe I should go back there sometime this week, with my ixus in tow..they end on sunday! =)

Parked outside my house after, and we went to take a walk around the estate. "House shopping" wahaha. Kembangan is seriously an area chock-full of private housing sia. The houses deeper in are really places where dogs don't shit and birds don't lay eggs. Okay that was a literal translation from chinese. Lol.

I think we walked to near hz's place! Don't know how I survived the walk while aching like crazy.

Finally mid-week, but the days seem to be passing so slowly... =( Lots of things I owe everyone right left and centre, and the feeling sucks to the max!

Need to go do my periodic table research. Sighh. Kind of wish I paid more attention to chemistry last time..potentially have to read through characteristics of all elements in the table. *faints*

Sleepy sleepy..wonder if I can leave the research till tomorrow. Hmm.

Itching to go running! But I can't even walk properly in my current state. Arghhh. Let's hope miracles happen and I'll be good as new on sunday!

But before that..jiayou for your ippt! 99.9999% confirm gold one laa. =p

Been feeling ultra cuiii the entire day..the moment I walked up the stairs to work this morning, swear words started forming in my mind. By the time I got to the 4th floor, I looked as though I just completed the vertical marathon.

And let's not even talk about walking down the stairs..that was absolute HELL. =x

I swear I've never ached so muchh before!

Mind cafe with cam'on was hilarious to the max! That whole place is noisier than a fish market sia. Haha. Out of nowhere there'd be screams and yells and our entire time there was enveloped in laughter. Surround sound-style. Seriously!

Saboteur is a fun game! So nan de we had such a huge group..ten of us! The repeat pete (or whatever it's called) was totally hilarious! The agonised and constipated look whenever one of us couldn't recall the action to imitate ..imagine having to remember so many different actions in the correct sequence!

I bet mun pun caught lots of damn nonsense and candid shots of everyone else. =p

And I like the dinosaur and bone game thingy towards the end!

"yi ge yi ge! san ge! si ge ahh!"

That meant one, three and four by the way. Lol.

I had a near-stomachache from laughing like crazy..swapping cards to get a full set of the same colour and everyone discreetly keeping a bone until the last person realised that he was the only one left switching cards. =p

So many many more games we didn't try! Must go back there again with a big group someday soon..and tuesday is ladies' night! Yays! =))

Really enjoyed my day towards the end..I've missed cam'on muchhly! Talking about the upcoming cambodia/vietnam trip and reminiscing about our OCIP last year really brought back a flood of memories..I wish we could all go there together again!

Super looking forward to the trip next month! Shall snap plenty of peektures and bring them back to share with the rest of cam'on!

And ah khiang's suggestion to go batam is ultra appealing..just take a weekend off to go there and do all kinds of sea sports. Wheeee~! =)

The meetup has put me in a fantastic mood (even though I'm still hurting all over)..the week ahead suddenly seems more bearable! And it ain't a working saturday this week. Yippeee!

Wanted to do some longer distance running tomorrow, but looking at the state I'm currently in, I'll be lucky if I can climb up and down the stairs to work tomorrow without a single peep or groan or complaint. =p

Just gave my sister 110buckeroos for the tj concert tickets and the hole in my pocket feels more and more irreparable. >_< payday quick come..or I'll have no moolah to spend in cambodia and vietnam...eeks.

Goodnights world! =)

Oh.My.God.

I swear I never knew those muscles existed. I'm totally aching like I've never ached before. Wahlauu! *groan.creak.eurghhhh*

Spent over an hour being tortured trained by my very fit and helpful senior. There's that teeny bit of regret agreeing to exercises that train up muscle mass. >_<

Many sets of push-ups, dips, crunches, lunges, etc and a failed attempt at some exercise to train my core. I would have fallen flat on my face if I had continued to force myself to do it. Hahaha.

Freaking good exercise, yes. But I'm hurting like mad now!

I can only wonder at the crazy things his gym instructor subjects him to. Lol. I think I'm very lucky already..free training, albeit very xin ku. Hahaha.

Must try and keep this up or I'll never train up enough muscle mass to protect my joints..already the right knee kills me whenever I run long not very long distances. =(

On a side note, yesterday capped my 4th time on blades! Finally got my own pair last week, and am loving it to the max! But I don't seem to have talent on skates lehh. Sad..

My K2 set me back by over 300buckeroos..am feeling the pinch very muchh now, especially with the cambodia/vietnam trip coming up. Sighh.

Don't regret buying my blades though..seriously must utilise it or I'll just be wasting my money. But first, I need to overcome my irrational fear of falling..it's totally in the way of my learning! Still can't do turns and my gliding sucks. Haiii. If I only I didn't have my tailbone to worry about...

Caught angels and demons and I thought it was not bad! Although I've heard quite a few people commenting that it isn't very good. Read the book a long time ago and slowly recalled the whole plot about 10 minutes into the movie.

Although the movie was kinda long at about 2hours, it was still waaaay insufficient to cover alot of content mentioned in the print version. The book allowed me to grasp and understand every single term mentioned, especially those to do with religion. Something which the movie skipped alot of.

I still feel that for a movie, it has pretty much achieved a level of decency that makes it a fairly enjoyable watch. Quite action-packed though there were some small areas that differed from it's print counterpart.

Next show I wanna catch is night at the museum 2! But I didn't even watch part 1. Hahaha. Still, it looks nicee!

Mans I need to stop spending so much..pocket's burning a humongous hole and my heart is breaking. *piang!*

Okays no more weighty purchases after my trip..my K2's the last of it for awhile! At this rate I'll be eating grass soon. *moooo*

I have this sinking feeling that tomorrow I won't be able to get out of bed, dress myself for work and wear my heels and not trip over.

Have I mentioned just how badly I'm aching? (I know I did)

And the passion run's this sunday. Well done geri...I still wanna do like long distance run on wednesday and probably friday..

*collapse*

Met the 29ners for dinner at sakae; no comments about the food (except it made me damn fullll), but the company was goood! =)

Love my darlings..they never fail to crack me up. Hahaha. And the michael phelps album has surfaced once more! To think that we used to go gaga over him (kind of still do, actually =p) and all the hilarious antics coming from us. Lol. What a pity that his news has been rather blearghh of late.

6 years ago..time seriously flies!

This week has been feeling very longish though..I want my weekend to faster come!

TGIF! Since it's past midnight. Just need to lun through the work day, another half day on saturday and my weekend will be here!

Hope the bff can blade on sunday. Wheeee.

My life is boringboring..I need more peektures to spice it up! Haven't been utilising my ixus much..okays starting tomorrow I will!

Finally met up with mel for casuarina prata last night! It's been darn long since we actually met up to go out..not counting jeff's bday gathering. Haha.

Ate a crazy amount of prata (mostly mel) that totalled like almost 13buckeroos! I'm amazed. Lol.

Rina raised a very good suggestion just now..I wanna go night safari!!

And it's totally great to contact layleng again..now we just need cor in the picture, and we're all set for a meetup! Omgoshh it's been 5yrs or so since we last met..*faints*

Miss those girls to pieces! The iras days...hahaha.

And how buddy used to term us completely noisy. Lol.

Happyhappy that my leave has been approved! =))

A completely random post but I don't care. Yays. =D

Feeling very broke after a mother's day weekend, and I almost forgot that I have a trip coming up next month..which means more moolah. Looks like those blades are gonna have to wait. =x

Met the girls for some shopping and dinner yesterday; korean was great! Missed the food there..although I've always found it a teeny bit out of the way. Just lazy I guess..haha. Had the urge to go clubbing, but we weren't really properly attired. Plus, the other "clubbers" in our clique weren't there. Haha.

Clubbing soooon! Plus our brilliant idea of booking a room and just having a complete girls' fun night out! Hope it's not going to end up as one of those NATO moments. Read: No Action, Talk Only. =p

The weather foiled my blading plans..it rained so heavily that by the time I woke up at 5-ish in the morning to the sound of a thunderstorm, my curtains and floor were wet. Don't know how I tried drying the curtains partially while half-asleep. Haha. I remember yanking quite a couple of tissue and attempting to dry my rain-soaked curtains. Then promptly falling back to bed as if I didn't wake up at all. Lol.

Pictionary with the sister and cousins was a hilarious affair..seriously, I think cheryl and I make a fantastic team! Assuming she draws, and I guess. Haha! Although we lost eventually, I'm glad we gave in to ling's pleas requests to play the game. =p

Caught taken at the filmgarde cinema at kallang leisure park; not a bad movie! Indeed action-packed, just that some parts were kind unrealistic with glaring loopholes. Other than that, I think my mum pretty much enjoyed the movie. Just felt that she was so very silly about supposedly being "too old" for watching flicks at the theatre. Dots!

And my sis is the best; she killed a xiao qiang which loitered outside my bedroom, then ventured into my bathroom. With the help of plenty of baygon. Although it means my bathroom is damn stinkypoo now, at least the cockroach is gone! She even helped me to dump it. Hahaha. I know I am super lousy and whatnot, but I totally hate xiao qiangs! To the point of useless fear. Lol.

Ohmans..one more reason why I don't like sleeping on the ground floor. All the funny weird horrendous creatures which visit from time to time..*shudders*

Monday in a couple more hours; why can't we have the day off tomorrow! Crap..they should make it a public holiday for everyone, instead of a holiday for just the bigger companies. They're employees; so are we! =(

Long week ahead with a working saturday..hope I get through it finee. Need to start my cambodia and vietnam research already. But this is highly dependent on when lings passes me her contacts. *pointed look* I know you'll be reading this sooner or later, so...email me, my dearest coussie! Hahaha.

Need to go running; wanna go blading. If only I can find more kakis willing to do either. Starting to think that I shouldn't bug the senior that often..being my pacer means he can't train at his own full capacity. And I don't exactly wanna hold him back..haii.

Guess I just have to get used to running solo.

Can't wait for may to pass, and june to come. Or rather, fast forward to august. The next PH is in freaking august! *bangs wall* I can only say, thank goodness I'm taking leave in june.

I feel abit sian diao, but I don't really know why.

Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.

TGIF!!

Actually, it's already end of Friday and technically speaking, the start of saturday. Haha. Gotta wake up in 5 hours' time..and I only just got back not long ago! Well done..confirm zombified while driving tomorrow later. Haha.

Wanted to blog yesterday, but got too caught up in a book and talking to my sister online. Yeah funny right. Stay in the same house, but we msn each other. Lol.

TJCSB's syf results left me shell-shocked..as it did many others. I never expected there to ever be another medal less than a gold hanging on the band room wall. The last silver was 23 years ago..

After hearing a recording of their syf performance, I'm more certain than ever that they completely did not deserve a silver. Even if not a GWH, at the very least, a gold.

Was it the judging criteria? The acoustics of the auditorium which did nothing to flatter the band's sound? Or the judges? Maybe simply lack of luck.

Extreme makeover was well-played. It encompassed the sound and magic which no other band except tj band can ever achieve. And I'm really proud of lin sheng for having chosen this choice piece for them. Only he would have dared to pick a piece which might not guarantee the highest honours, but that which would challenge the band and bring them to a level greater than before.

Truly a tjcsb piece. =)

Just like the choice piece during my syf..a mix of two japanese graffiti. Some people couldn't appreciate it, some felt we were pushing the limits of what judges could accept for syf. But we did good, didn't we? =)

No matter what, tjcsb is still the best band to me. Was, is, and always will be. It was this band that taught me the feeling of unity, of a bond so deep every player is united in pursuit of a common goal. To create beautiful music and share it with everyone else. The magic of a band I'm proud to have been a part of. And I'm super glad my own sister is a part of this magic now. =))

Can't wait for Prelude 29!! =D

Met up with jeff the (belated) bday boy and the rest for a long-overdue dinner gathering! All the students busy with exams..haha. I totally love the message I printed out for him! Wahaha. You'd better cherish it ar! =p

Food at tampopo's not too bad..though we only tried the ramen. Pity we were too full, or would have been tempted to order the salmon chirashi or just sashimi. I think sashimi is one of the best ways to tell how good a jap restaurant is.

And the queue was so crazy-long!

Really enjoyed myself..it's always hilarious listening to the guys trade stories about their school days and their various friends. Hahaha. Never a dull moment!

Happy belated bday jeff! Stay cool with your new hairdo! =p

The senior picked me up after..got teased unmercilessly about my lack of knowledge regarding the "landmark". Bleahh. Haha. But since I got a ride home..shan't complain! =p

Time really flies when you spend time with someone you can talk to about anything under the sun. Not many people are able to do that..so I cherish all such talking sessions! Nicee. =)

Am going to miss his nonsense when he's away snorkelling with the fish and turtles and sharks. I want a weekend getaway tooo!

Meanwhile, maybe I'll go brush up on my blading. I don't believe that I can't blade faster than he runs. Hahaha. Soon soon soooon!

Okay great..the clock's ticking away closer and closer to 6am..arghhh. Must go grab a quick shower and a quick sleep. Haha.

Don't know if it's good or bad that I've come to be so used to spending a part of my weekend with him. Be it running or blading or makan-ing or watching vids. It's going to feel a little strange this weekend..need to shake off the feeling!

The shooting star I saw just now...I hope it has shot off to make my wish come true. =)

This has been a great weekend!

Today was uber fun..haha. Didn't expect the turnout of events, but it was interesting, nonetheless. The senior joined my family for lunch and we actually ended up shopping. That was soooo NOT expected. Lol.

I don't know if it's good or bad that it felt weirdly alright. For him. Hahaha. Then again..my mum is always asking if my friends wanna join us for lunch and whatnot. I guess he's just another "suay" one. =p

Visited the page one book sale and saw super alot of nice books! I finally know just how expensive design-related books are..even after half price, they still aren't that cheap. Was damn tempted to get this book on structural packaging, but I kinda remember seeing it in office before..if office has, might as well borrow from there! Not a cheap book..and my office is already like a bookstore in itself. All the ultra interesting books! =D

We went blading after and I finally can move decently! Covered a distance waaaay further than I expected (or even intended), so I must say I'm pretty happy with my achivements today! That, and I had a good instructor who thought he was torturing me. =p

Now I'm thinking if I should take up blading and learn it properly as a sport..have always envied people who can blade freely and whizz past effortlessly. Just like the senior laaa! Baskett. Haha.

Maybe I'll try it out a couple more times and see if this sport grows on me. If it does, I don't mind shelling out a couple hundreds to invest in a good pair of skates and accessories. At least I know who to look for if I need a skating instructor/kaki. Haha.

Those 2 hours have left me really tired though..my legs feel like I just ran 10km all over again. The result of using muscles hitherto undiscovered and unknown to me. >_<

And speaking of 10km..the passion run is coming up soooon. Omgoshh how on earth am I going to train for the 15km run, I simply have no idea. Maybe it wasn't such a smart move after all..3 weeks sounds abit daunting to train out a reasonable timing for 15km. Eeks.

A couple more hours and it's another new week..mans I hate these return-to-work weeks right after a long weekend break. Always the hardest to get back into momentum, knowing that I have this pile of work awaiting me, which I've diligently avoided the last 2-3 days. Ohwells.

Let's hope tomorrow won't be too blue.

At least not a working saturday the coming week..yays!

I think I'm going to get a good night's sleep tonight. Tiredd out!

And it seems that my message got across a little too clearly. Haha..maybe it'll turn out for the better after all..

Am loving this long long weekend!! Every weekend should be like that. =D

Yesterday was an uber hectic day at work, and lunch was at 6pm.. >_< xian yu chao fan! Yummms.

Finally signed off the project which I've been dying to complete..yayness! Staying back late was worth it!

Went ktv-ing after with the colleagues and we sang till 1am! Glenn's friends were so highhh, rina and I were super amused. Haha. If BB was there with us, I think we'd be worse than them. =p

Pretty envious of rina's super powerful voice; that's something I unfortunately can't seem to train out. Her vocals have this ringing quality to it that enables her to be easily heard even without a mic..I can't do that lehh. Hahaha. That's why her voice always drowns mine. Lol.

And I caught wolverine with the senior that night! Thank goodness we booked tickets early..the theatre was damn crowded!

The show's pretty good, although senior said that he can't quite link this prequel to the earlier 3 movies. I don't really remember, to be honest. But it's a nice watch all the same! =)

I was half exasperated and half amused when the DVD lady came by our office the next day and what should she have but...one copy of wolverine among her stacks of shows.

And to think I watched it in the cinema the night before. -_-

Luckily the quality wasn't too good, so not really worth buying. Then again..I think I'd rather have watched this show in the cinema for the effects.

So, yays to catching wolverine on opening night! =))

Today was a rather nua day though..the sun was killer! Spent most part of the day with my mum..and still she complains that we're too busy for her. Ohwells.

Went to senior's place after dinner to watch dvds..hotel for dogs is nicee! The doggies are uber cutee! =D

I actually fell asleep there, that's why I'm still up at this time now..got home pretty late and waiting for my long long hair to dry. Lazy to retrieve my hairdryer and plug it in and blast at my locks..

Realised that I've made many mistakes in relationships all along. And now..I don't particularly want to be on the track towards another potentially hazardous choice. Am pretty glad that I have enough sense in me this time to question how things are turning out. But..the mind is still a confused state. More for him, than for me.

I'm tiredd of sinking into something with no future, with no promises, with a blurry image ahead. I dislike not knowing what's going to happen, dislike the feeling of helplessness.

Had enough of being hurt, hurting others, living through a wrong choice, only to regret it. And never again do I want to give without knowing if it's going to be worth it in the end. There's only so much heartbreak one can take.

So this time, I'm going to try to be a smart girl and not let my emotions sway me to the other end.

How I wish I could tell you what to do and stop your pain..but only your heart and mind can give you the answer you dream of.
