Don't ask me why am I still awake at this ungodly hour. Doesn't help that I have work tomorrow..so hard to get back into the rhythm of working saturdays after having three consecutive weekends off. Sighh.

Not too bad a friday today..considering the week has been nothing short of hellish. Went to a vendor's place with my boy in the evening, conveniently located at mohd sultan. Is that happening or what? So after we left the studio at 6ish, we were free for the night!

Shioks man..I haven't officially knocked off at 6.30pm since like...forever!

Shopped around town where, strangely, the bf was the one who ended up with shopping bags instead of me. It's so weird I swear..everytime I say I wanna shop, I end up with nothing while he ends up with plenty!

Hoping that the following weeks will be nice to me. Especially in the work sphere. =x

This past 2 weeks or so haven't been really good for some people I love..jiayou okays, and just know that we're always here for you! Stay strong my darlings. *hugs*

Sure hope that the year will end on a wonderful note for everyone after all.

Anyhows, bought a new hair colour but have yet to try it. It looks so idiot-proof, but the steps are complicated man..and all those warning notices..enough to put me off reading the instruction sheet. Let alone use it on my hair. Haha.

Hope the colour turns out nice! Sweet pink. Wheeee.

Next few weekends gonna be really hectic..volunteer trip to indonesia, and my boy's convocation the following week. Still don't know what to get him! Am totally waiting for payday..flat broke this month! And the financial damage is going to be much worse next month..what with all those trips...sighh.

Okays seriously need to sleep soon before I stone completely in front of my computer tomorrow. Gonna be sp's last day, and I'm so going to miss her! As well as not liking the additional work load that's gonna hit me because of her departure. *deep breath*

Please hire a new AE and/or AM soon..at this rate, I think I will grow an entire head of white hair before the month is up. =(

I wonder if the insecurity will ever ever go away..

Picnic-ed at the botanic gardens yesterday! Quite a sudden decision..cos' the bf said he wanted to picnic there. And so much for picnic. All we bought were chips and drinks. Hahaha. I told him he has to find me a pretty picnic basket so next time we can pack more yummy homemade stuffs along!

The weather was really good..and the place super crowded! Lots of families and kids and dogs and whatnot. Perfect way to laze the weekend away actually. I curled up with the time traveller's wife while letting my boy amuse himself with my ds lite. Lol.

And we fell asleep! Really quite shuang..just that I ended up as food for the mosquitoes. As usual. All this despite the repellant I used. =x

Didn't manage to catch the hurt locker in town after that cos' tickets were sold out. Sighh. I was kinda disappointed but nevermind..another day! Chilled at starbucks while listening to this three-men band playing classics, oldies and some jazz pieces..I love such music. =) And the hazelnut latte was good! Cured my headache. Haha. Don't think mb is much of a coffee person the way I am. Who on earth drinks hot starbucks coffee by sipping through that tiny green straw/stirrer-looking thingy? Out of an entire grande, I think he sipped like 5% of it? Lol.

Slept most of my day away this afternoon..till I missed dinnertime. Went running with the sister after; it was a good run! Though I am most certainly out of shape. ECP was damn freaking crowded mans..what with the weekend and deepavali celebrations. I swear I've never seen komala's so filled before! Haha.

Dinner-ed at subway and that was an uber annoying experience. Didn't have cash on me, so after the guy started making my sub, I told him I'd come back after going to the atm. He wanted to continue making my sub and just leave it aside for me later, but no...another service staff next to him (presumably the boss, puiiii) said to leave it until I came back with money. Whatever.

When I got back, he was serving another customer, meaning I was next in line. And that "boss" was standing behind the counter looking extremely free. He knew very well that I stepped out a mere 5mins to get some cash, and my sub was sitting there waiting to be completed, but said I had to queue behind the customer.

Okay fine. Nevermind the fact that he was just standing there doing absolutely nothing. The customer in front of me ordered three foot-long subs, and not only didn't know what subs to get, he didn't know what veg to pick as well. And the sauce. MYGOD. The queue behind him grew steadily longer..as he took his time..and the staff took an even longer time to make the subs...talk about lack of efficiency when there were at least TWO other staff members standing behind the cashier, just waiting and not doing anything.

When it came to my turn to pay, the customer in front of me wasn't done with his payment yet. Sigh. He started asking the "boss" some questions about this stamp card he was holding, which outlets it could be used at, how to get one chop..talking about some experience at some other subway outlet..and finally rounding off with, "did you return me my change?"

Following which, the very annoying and unhelpful "boss" started explaning, practically in exact denominations, the change that had been duly returned. Heaven forbid that he kept the customer's change and refused to return it....*rolls eyes*

I was seriously steaming by then, and I think the uncle behind me could tell. He was almost done with his subs too, and we were just standing there in line for like 10 freaking minutes.

To top things off, when I returned to the table, my sister told me that while I was at the atm, one of the staff actually let a knife fly over the counter and towards the tables! There was this pair of guys sitting there, and thankfully the knife missed them. Plus another female customer who was standing in front of the counter just a minute ago.

Seriously! What the hell is wrong with these service staff?! Forget the bad service; now we have flying knives too? What if it hit someone and caused an injury? The best part was, the guy didn't even know he let fly a knife. A customer actually had to pick it up and return it to him. *faints*

So people, if you ever wanna go to the subway at ECP, please keep a lookout for all these nonsense. Sit far away from the counter, go only if you can put up with slow and lousy service, and if you have the luck of missing flying knives.

That kinda wrapped up a lousy dinner. At least the food standard is pretty much similar throughout the outlets. Or I would really have made a complaint there and then I think.

Anyhows, the sister and I took a walk after that and went to look for my darling at some chalet party. He was so full of nonsense! But at least she had a pretty good first impression of him. Wouldn't do it for me if my family don't like my bf. Haha. So far so good! =)

Slept so much in the day that I'm pretty awake now..need to start counting mehmehs so that I can enter lalaland soon.

Can't wait for payday so that I can go buy some stuffs.

Retail therapy!

And tomorrow is monday all over again.

It does feel like forever since I last blogged. One of those on-off moments again. Haha.

Since I'm waiting for my hair to dry...why not? Or I'll just fall asleep sitting because I can't lie down and sleep with my hair wet on the pillow. Lol.

The work sphere has been fairly uneventful..I would almost say I've actually been pretty free! Everything's either pending or completed or simply..in limbo. But jobs and clients are coming in fast and in droves; I foresee crazy OT-ing and less of a social life in the weeks to come. Ah wells.

Met my 29ners for dinner earlier, and brought the bf along. He didn't talk enough to form an impression I think..but that's normal la. In a big group of almost 10 pple, not really easy to communicate. Well! As long as no one said anything wrong or offensive at a first meeting..there should be plenty more chances to get to know one another. Hahaha.

Didn't find shokudo @ raffles city very good; I kinda miss marche actually. And that place made me stink! The smell of food clinging to my hair and clothes..makes you wonder why you pay so much to stink. I can pay a fraction of that price for yummilicious food at a hawker centre and smell about the same. Lol.

Dessert at ben&jerry's! Shioks! Had my chunkey monkey as usual. Wheeee. Can't believe the bf has never tried my favourite flavour before!

Anyhows, booked our return plane tickets to KL for next month already. Kinda wondering what's a good gift to give my darling for his convocation. Girls are simple..buy flowers, bears, whatever that's cutesy. But for a guy..hmmm. Ideas, anyone? And it has to be something I can easily bring onto the plane with me. Haha.

Think I'm going to be flitting between malaysia and singapore fairly often from now on. Haha. I don't really mind, since he opens up my eyes to another side of msia I've never seen before. It's not as boring as I've always thought, and certainly doesn't consist only of JB, KL, malacca and genting. Hahaha. What can I do if those were the places I visited repeatedly in my younger days right. Bound to get sick of them. =p

Certainly helps to tour the neighbouring country with someone who knows it like a second home. And has a license to boot. Car trips are so much fun! =D

And ohh! Finally found a house! Not exactly near the mrt, but a fairly decent place still..just a tad expensive. Can't wait to do up the whole house and my room...my own room at last! Can design everything from scratch. =))

The thumb's slowly recovering..though I don't know what's gonna happen to the nail. Hoping very hard that the broken parts can fuse back together, but I kinda doubt it. In that case, praying that the nail won't drop off before the new one grows out fully. And that's going to take 6 months...6 freaking months..! =x

Still can't regain complete use of my thumb..so inconvenient. Sighh. But at least I can now shower with both hands, type without grimacing and drive. Among other things. Don't underestimate the use of your thumbs please..even the thumb not belonging to your master hand. It's a torture trying to go through everyday routine things without being able to use it!

It's amazing how careless and klutzy I can be at times. Really salute myself even. No one so far can understand how I managed to slam the car door on my thumb so spectacularly. Even I can't quite recall the exact sequence of events; everything happened so quickly. But that was the first time in an uber uber uber long time that I cried from pain and blood. *shudders*

Am getting sleepy..can't really stay up late anymore nowadays without feeling the effects of it the next day. I do miss the FOC days where we slept no more than 10hours over a period of 5 days. Campus days where we'd have all-night-long mahjong sessions..staying out the entire night to sing ktv or just have supper and yak till the sun rose in the sky..really miss my uni life mans. Especially the first year. When everything was still happy, fun, exciting..and daddy was still with me.

Saw a video yesterday titled "leave me"; it's a short film about this widower who was transported into the world of his late wife's broken camera, and somehow managed to relive the past which was captured in shots by the camera. Eventually, he chose to stay on in this past because there, he met his wife again before her death. My first thought was...if I were given the same choice..I would probably take it.

We shouldn't live in the past, I know..but sometimes..the past is what shapes our future. If my past is going to cast a shadow over who I'm going to be, why not just go back to it?

I'll probably wake up tomorrow morning disagreeing with what I just typed above. Sometimes, it's nice to just cave in to the inner depths of my emotions and not argue out a politically correct reply.

Bedtime bedtime..I'll leave the thinking till tomorrow.
