Today was an ultra
happening day!
Was supposed to meet nick early for breakfast, but I overslept..so he ended up having to wait for me. Oops. Haha.
Had breakfast at siglap macs! That workaholic was planning to go office and clear work after that (imagine, on a public hol!!), but my persuasion and his hesitation to go office saw an end to that intention. Lol.
In the end, he was the one who accompanied me on the location recce for tomorrow's photoshoot, and even took photos for me using his brand new dslr! That camera is super
chio, I swear.
Made a quick trip to hort park just so he could play with his new toy..too bad, I was rushing for time so we had to cut short the nature-cum-photography trip. And we were both in the mood for icecream, so he drove us to vivocity to have
ben & jerry's! Shiokness! =D
Double belgian waffle. Phish food. Chunky monkey. Hot fudge. Whipped cream. SINFUL. But I
likeee. =p
Rushed like mad cos' my boy was gonna meet me at my place to go his friend's house for lunch..in the end he was so early, he ended up waiting for me. Lunch at maeng's was
good! His fiancee prepared burmese laksa a.k.a coconut noodles and some kind of tea-leaves appetiser for us..I am really starting to love burmese food
alot. And she said that she'll teach me how to make it next time! Yays. Haha.
The downpour stopped by the time we left, so the two of us plus his brother headed for sentosa. Weather was good! Not too sunny..met his brother's friends there and I got coerced into playing soccer. Bet he regretted asking me to play..I told him I can't kick a ball for
nuts. Lol. Lost the game and still had to do push-ups. Still, it was fun! Just that I think I pulled some muscle in my right leg. Haha.
Drove down to peninsular for dinner cos' aung had craving for burmese food. And I tried
shan khaw hswe! Don't know if I got the spelling right. Hehe. It's really yummy! The shop owners know them so well by now that they addressed mb by name..and now they know me too. Hahaha. Really admire the lady boss..she's local, but her burmese is totally fluent! I should start learning tooo. =p
I'm really enjoying learning about his country and culture and meeting his friends..although I'm always lost in my own world when they start jabbering away in their language, I still find it fun. =)
I just wonder if it's as easy for him to immerse into my world as I into his..somehow, I suspect he will never really get along with my group as well as I can talk to his. But ohwells, no matter for now..take things slowly.
And we had quite a heart-to-heart talk about something which matters to me. His reply pretty much rounded off a perfect day. =)
I don't want this to be yet another one of those short-lived dreams which turn nightmarish..I'm sick and tired of those nonsense. I'm going to follow someone's advice this time round and..make it work. We'll try, promise. =)
