Thought I might as well blog an entry before showering. Or everything I wanna blog about will fly out from my frazzled mind. Haha.
Had a damn annoying bus ride from office to the library earlier. The bus driver was in the hugest hurry
ever, I swear. Chionging like mad, paying no heed to his poor standing passengers hanging on for dear life..yours truly almost suffered a disjointed shoulder.
Baskett.
Anyhows, borrowed travel guides for cambodia and vietnam! Let's hope I'll actually read and absorb the mountain of useful information in there. Took me awhile to sieve through the huge pile of books and pick the ones with the most recent publishing date. What's the use of referring to a version that was published in 2000? Lol.
Also borrowed a book on dogs! Pretty much the
all-you-need-to-know-about-dogs kind of book. Let's hope it helps! I so totally
cannot wait to move house and get my own puppy! Now..to find a house first...then settle the puppy later.. =x
Haven't bladed in over a week and I'm kinda itching for the unbalanced feel. Hahaha. Not that I'm looking forward to falling but..I want to go blading!!
Amazingly, I'm no longer aching (that much) from the run! Almost fully okay..should be able to resume my normal running and static stations already! Yays. =)
And I found a new source of entertainment which keeps me in fits: the reduced shakespeare company! They're completely hilarious to the max laa..I was laughing my ass off watching the dvd which senior lent me. The troupe's coming to singapore in july! Goodness..why is everything so costly for me this year..first the mayday concert, then liverpool playing in sg in july ALSO (I'm still wondering to go or not; are tickets even available anymore?)..and now RSC!
Decided to give
much ado about nothing a miss cos' 1) I don't know who would be interested in going with me; 2) I'm kinda broke this month and for the next few months. >_<
I
realllyyyy wanna catch the play though.. =(
On a lighter note, at least there's this
one more event I'm able to afford fairly easily, even for this month. Haha. Found out about
da vinci: the genius travelling exhibition! Looks like bus-stop billboards can be pretty useful after all. =p
Guess I have nick to thank for piquing my interest in the arts..the interest has always been there; just always kept hidden below surface. None of my close friends actually appear remotely interested in such artsy-fartsy subjects and events so...I suppose that's one huge reason why I never really delved deeper into this area.
Have this urge to tour europe and places like the louvre at paris, basilica in the vatican city and the architectural miracles of italy..the things I've heard about those amazing wonders!
Starting to see just how expensive the arts can be. Really. Concerts and theatres and musicals and whatnot..the tickets freaking don't come cheap! And getting the cheapest tickets are like totally
useless cos' you might as well go there and not see anything at all. -_-'''
Like I always say, if you wanna go, buy tickets that actually put you in a seat
decent enough to indulge in the performance. But those come at a high price, literally. Ohwells.
Perhaps I should set up a
geri's arts fund for my artsy indulgences. Hahaha.
And another
geri's runs fund for taking part in all those run events. I seriously wonder where the registration money goes to. If it's charity, fine. If not, then where?? Running has suddenly gone from a
free sport to an
expensive sport. Dots.
Whoaa spent longer than I expected blogging..
pom pom time! It's yet another work day tomorrow..sighh. Just
tahan and the weekend will come soon enough..
after my working saturday. Bleahh.
And ohh! It's true that you learn something new everyday, really. Geri's new knowledge of the day: my single-themed snapshot essay for anything at all in life.
I like the sound of it. Now I just need to create my own photo essay. =)
